Dan Merson
Dan Merson is a doctoral student in The Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education. He is participating in the research efforts for the Immigration in Higher Education and Imagining America projects. His professional interests include technology in Higher Education, student learning and development, and law and Higher Education. He received his Masters of Education from The Pennsylvania State University and his Bachelors in Psychology, with a minor in Rhetoric/Communication and extensive coursework in Electrical Engineering, from Kansas State University.
Before coming to The University of Michigan he worked for Residence Life, the Dean of Students, and the College of Engineering at Penn State and for the Office of Admissions and the School of Engineering at the University of California, Santa Cruz. His work has pertained to new student orientation, the first-year experience, academic advising, academic support, residence life, admissions yield programs, curricular analysis, and academic administration.
