John Feldkamp
John was raised in Michigan between Saline and Clinton, and Ann Arbor has always been nearby. He graduated with Honors from Eastern Michigan University with a major in Secondary Mathematics Education, and a minor in Language, Literature and Writing for Teachers. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree, John worked as a substitute teacher, and later at Eastern Michigan University’s Honors College developing alumni relations.
John participated in various co-curricular groups on campus while completing his undergraduate studies, and because he enjoyed the variety of work that these groups offer the campus and community, he decided to pursue a Master’s degree in higher education. One of his interests in higher education is the relationship that universities and post-secondary institutions have with their surrounding community.
John is a first-year masters student in the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, and is graduate student research assistant in the National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good’s Office. He is currently working on the Michigan/Great Lakes Revitalization Project.
