Kate Thirolf

 

 

 

 

Kate Thirolf is a doctoral student in the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education at the University of Michigan. At the National Forum, Kate is working mainly on the Great Lakes Revitalization initiative and helping on the community organizing projects. Her research interests include the dynamics of strategy, leadership, and organizational behavior at postsecondary institutions with a special focus on community colleges. Kate received a master’s degree in higher education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and her bachelor’s degree in history from Princeton University.

Prior to starting her doctoral studies, Kate was a University Management Fellow at Harvard University, where she worked with the planning and metrics team and the organizational development consulting group at Harvard's Center for Workplace Development. She has also worked as a consultant at Accenture in New York, taught English at Universiti Sains Malaysia in Penang, and played basketball professionally in Luxembourg.
