Paul Feigenbaum

My name is Paul Feigenbaum and I am a PhD Candidate in the JointProgram in English and Education.  I am interested in making community–university relationships dealing with literacy issues more reciprocal and egalitarian, increasing access to higher education among urban populations, prison reform, and promoting civic engagement in my students.  I have taught first–year and upper–level writing courses in the English Department and

also taught EFL in Uzbekistan in the Peace Corps.  I’m currently working

with Mackenzie High School in Detroit to help talented juniors and seniors get to college and be prepared to persist once there.  I’m originally from the suburbs outside Buffalo, NY.
