Deliberative Dialogue Research

A research report that considers the link between the public and higher education institutions

 

Dialogues with State Legislators

College and university presidents and state legislators coming together to discuss and share their perspectives of the ways in which the "social charter" between higher education and society can be more effectively articulated and sustained

 

Immigration and Higher Education

A conference in June of 2007 at the University of Michigan for individuals from academia, local and state government, grassroots organizations, business, and philanthropy to begin a thoughtful and sustained dialogue on immigration and higher education

 

Intergenerational Scholars Symposium

Scholars coming together in discussion, sharing research, and creating action plans that confront issues of higher education and the public good

 

Journey towards Democracy: Voice, Power, and the Public Good

A dialogue series that strives to connect civic engagement opportunities across the University of Michigan

 

Kellogg Forum on Higher Education Transformation (KFHET)

A learning collaborative that brought together academic leaders and higher education scholars to better understand institutional change and transformation (1997-2002)

 

Minority Serving Institutions Leadership Fellows Program, Evaluation Project

Educates and trains future senior level administrators at Minority Serving Institutions

 

National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO) Case Studies

A leadership development project designed to enhance the skills and abilities of current and future administrators of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) and Predominately Black Institutions (PBI’s)

 

National Leadership Dialogue Series

A series of dialogues existing to concretize the relationship between higher education and society as well as to create a movement through which this relationship will be redefined

 

National Rising Scholars Award

Up to five awards for pre-tenured faculty, early career practitioners, and advanced graduate students in any discipline in U.S. higher education institutions who engage in research that explores higher education's role in serving the public good

University of Michigan Development Summer Institute Program

A twelve-week intensive program (mid-May to mid-August) that provides interns with the professional competencies necessary to embark on a career path in development

 

University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill Collaboration

A collaboration with the Chair of the Faculty, Deans, faculty and staff at UNC-CH around the question, "What is the Role of a Research I Public University"

 

Wingspread Conference Series

A series of three annual conferences taking place from 2003 though 2005 at the Wingspread Conference Center in Racine, Wisconsin
